Everybody has something to say

The nation had spoken and by June the 30th the Philippine Republic will have a new President. As to how good or bad this will turn out be for the republic only those who live through it can tell, 6 years from now that is. As far as I could remember I've been through 5 presidency, all of whom I remember so vividly since my early elementary days. These days the president elect has been swamped by unsolicited advice from every corner of Philippine society. From Politician who have more experience in governing their own interest yet failed to do there job for the nation to common people, advices ranging from quitting smoking to how one should run the country, as if they could do better than anyone. Of course some of these advices do merit some degree of consideration. What amazes me most is how these advices are made to the recipient, which something you can't do during the past administrations. All thanks to today communication technology that allow commoners like myself to access sites that allow people to be a bit more up close and personal. But now I think about it if such technology is available back then can anybody send some unsolicited advice, rant or what ever to the president elect?. Let's think and ponder of the possibilities. Let's start with The Marcos Dictatorship were everything started to go downhill for the Republic, Its more likely you end-up floating in a some stinking river for daring such a thing. The Aquino Administration, who's son is the soon incoming 15th president of the republic. Chances are your letter would be sidetracked and end up as propaganda by the opposition both the leftist or the rightist, and be viewed as the people's official rallying point without you knowing it. The Ramos Administration, now this is a tough one, I don't think he needs an advice, his was able to run the country pretty well during his time. The Estrada administration, If I can recall perfectly there was once an undersecretary of some sort who got fired for telling the public that his the only sober person in the palace. Based on that account, any letter of advice or whatever would probably wait until everybody is sober enough to read it. The PGMA administration, well this is the only administration were I can confidently say, that a citizen don't really know whats what anymore. Both side proclaim to be God send yet both seems to look like a bunch of human dung piled up altogether. Anyway, back to where the topic is, the upcoming leader of the nation has been swamped by advices. Should he be overwhelmed by this?, I do not know, at any rate one should not turn a back from it.
As always, Advices are always free, but never always welcome even to those who gives them.

Here's one sample of those unsolicited advice that I found interesting enough and should merit some consideration with deep thought.

Dear Noynoy,

You are now swamped with suggestions and advice, but just the same, I hope you’ll have time to read what this octogenarian has to say.

You were not my choice in the last election but since our people have spoken, we must now support you and pray that you prevail. But first, I must remind you of the stern reality that your drum-beaters ignore: you have no noble legacy from your forbears. It is now your arduous job to create one yourself in the six years that you will be the single most powerful Filipino. Six years is too short a time — the experience in our part of the world is that it takes at least one generation — 25 years — for a sick nation to recover and prosper. But you can begin that happy process of healing.

Bear in mind that the past weighs heavily on all of us because of the many contradictions in it that we have not resolved, whose resolutions would strengthen us as a nation. This past is now your burden, too. Let us start with the fact that your grandfather collaborated with the Japanese. Your father was deeply aware of this, its stigma, its possibilities. He did not leave any legacy because he did not become president. He was a brilliant and courageous politician. He was an enterprising journalist; he had friends in journalism who can attest to his effulgent vision, who did not profit from his friendship, among them Nestor Mata, Gregorio Brillantes — you may consult them. I cannot say I did not profit — he bought many books from my shop and when he was in Marcos’s prison, your mother brought books from my shop to him.

Forgive me for giving you this unsolicited advice. First, beware of hubris; you are surrounded by panderers who will tell you what is nice to hear. You need to be humble always and heed your conscience. When Caesar was paraded in ancient Rome before the cheering multitudes, there was always a man chanting behind him: “Remember, you are mortal.”


I say to you, remember, the poor — some of them in your own hacienda — will be your ultimate judge.

From your comfortable and privileged cocoon, you know so little of our country and people. Seek the help of the best — and the best do not normally want to work in government and neither will they approach you. You have to seek them.

Be the revolutionary your father wanted to be and don’t be scared or wary of the word “revolution.” It need not be always bloody. EDSA I was not. Your father wanted to destroy the most formidable obstacle to our progress — the Oligarchy to which you and your family belong. To succeed, you have to betray your class. If you cannot smash the oligarchy, at least strive to have their wealth develop this country, that they bring back the billions they stashed abroad. You cannot do this in six years, but you can begin.

Prosecute the crooks. It is difficult, thankless and even dangerous to do this. Your mother did not do it — she did not jail Imelda who was the partner in that conjugal dictatorship that plundered this nation. Watch her children — they were much too young to have participated in that looting but they are heirs to the billions which their parents stashed abroad. Now the Marcoses are on the high road to power, gloating, snickering at our credulity and despicable amnesia.

You know the biggest crooks in and out of government, those powerful smugglers, thieves, tax cheats — all you really need is guts to clobber them. Your father had lots of it — I hope he passed on to you most of it.

And most of all, now that you have the muscle to do it, go after your father’s killers. Blood and duty compel you to do so. Cory was only his wife — you are the anointed and only son. Your regime will be measured by how you resolve this most blatant crime that robbed us of a true leader.

And, finally, your mother. We loved her — she united us in ousting an abominable dictator. But she, too, did not leave a shining legacy for her presidency was a disaster. She announced a revolutionary government but did nothing revolutionary. She promised land reform but did not do it. And most grievous of all — she transformed the EDSA I revolution into a restoration of the oligarchy.

She became president only because her husband was murdered and you became president elect only because your mother died. Still, you are your father’s son and may you now — for the good of this country and people — scale the heights he and your mother never reached.

I am 85 and how I despair over how three generations of our leaders failed! Before I go, please let me see this unhappy country begin to be a much better place than the garbage dump our leaders and people have made it. You can be this long awaited messiah but only if you are brave enough and wise enough to redeem your father’s aborted promise.

The inner conflict and the way to go around it

Is not man's life on earth is nothing more than pressed service, his time, no better than hired drudgery?' (Job 7:1)

Some people from time to time viewed life with a gloomy picture. To others, the complete contrary, as they view it more of a challenge which they accept. Disposed to live each day as it comes. Not expecting heaven on earth, neither do they by-pass any reasonable chance to make life a more satisfying for themselves and others. A realistic way of thinking, enough to accept their evident limitations, yet also disposed to work out problems alone if possible, and with help if necessary.

Try as we may, one cannot avoid conflicts in life. Between personal needs, wants and limitations and those of others, we face some conflicts from time to time. The deeper we to understanding of these conflict, the better our chances of maintaining a broad prospective, we will probably achieve a fuller self-possession, a wiser self management, and a more realistic solution to conflicts. Knowledge alone cannot achieve this mental, emotional and spiritual upheavals. Knowledge acquired are mere memory, without ever being absorbed into inner feelings, positive attitudes, sense of values, and healthy involvements. Probably only a prayerful reflection will bring a deeper and richer understanding and appreciation of what we already know from memory. And all it is needed in to put it into practice.

May 10 Philippines Election aftermath

May 10 election came and went and here I am in front and writing. If someone would ask me, how did it go? I'd say it was a good change, though not entirely viable as one could possible hope for. The top national position, I'd say there is a certain hope for a good start with the new administration at the helm, yet on the other hand only history can tell when everything has come an gone. On the local front, despite overwhelming possibilities of defeat a certain politician and cronies who in many years been tainted with neglect and corruption, manage an overwhelmingly win against publicly favored candidate.  All and all despite allegations of massive vote buying in my own home town which the accusation seems credible enough and some unfortunate incidents elsewhere. My country's first automated election was a success, though admittedly there are still plenty of things to ironed out.

The road to election automation in the Philippines was largely brought about by the nation's awe to its ally the United State. Back then the nation electoral contest was wage through manual counting, which sadly make it untrustworthy and prone to loopholes and lot of it. As a result corrupt politician scrupulously create ways and means to win. In the past decades since the Marcos era, politician carry out what we often declare as the Three G's to gain power. To gain victory in every elections a politician needs to have these 3 G's which stand for Guns, Goons and Gold. Even up to the last election hot spots in far flung provinces between rival political families try  either pay, kill or change results in subtle yet pronounced way. It was in 2008 when the Philippines once again wetness a grand event in the United State the presidential elections in which Barak Obama came into office and became president. What strike the Filipino nation with great fascination was not Mr. Obama's election to the presidency, but the speed in which he was proclaim. I myself was at awe an I'm sure I was not the only one. Ever since the countries first election, manual counting was always the rule of the day, It is not that there is something wrong with it. Its just that by going manual opportunities of rigging the election result is more probable to the point of being upfront and actual. Many politician even stand against automation of the election process. But after the U.S. election and the eagerness at home for automation of the election became an anxiety. To make the my story short, the Philippine congress pass a republic act ordering Commission on Election  to begin Automation of the Philippine election hence forth, which ultimately became a reality last 10th of May 2010. At first groups and even politician went as far as the supreme court to stop the automation, when glitches was reported one week before the date of suffrage there were even call to postpone it for favorable terms but it push through nonetheless. Of course the country being new to this sort of automated activities there were some miss up of instruction. Obviously some changes were made, some of these were the clustering of precincts which resulted to overcrowding. Some of the automated machine failed to deliver as advertised, also disenfranchisement of voters. 

Despite of this, majority of the voting population were eager to try out the new voting process, though admittedly it was somewhat in peril as overcrowding often take its toll. Still lessons learn which I think should be taken into account seriously and plenty of room for improvement. The automation lessen poll cheats, in which election result are always subjected for many pass decades though not entirely wipe out. Probabilities of cheating can be done if one is cunning enough to venture it, yet decreasing its probability is better than nothing at all. As to the  aftermath of the past days affair there is  no doubt that its a good start, as for the new administration that is reserve for a new page.

Election Day May 10, 2010 Philippines

Election day, this is the first time the an automated election is going to be held all over the country. At long last, here we are at the threshold of a new beginning, wither it may be for the best or the worst. If we manage to choose correctly then our future is secured, if not the years after this will be a literal hell. And chances of actual survival will be less. Something I have foreseen hence unless IF.


But today election begins and one should not worry about an over dramatic seen that may or may not unfold, instead worry about it after this democratic process. To the Filipino nation, a thought to consider upon pray for Successful automation, but most of all pray that God will finally bless us with a leader who serve and protect in strength in arms, and in wisdom and knowledge and the moral responsibility for sanctity of life, and death of the red beast. This is a call to act, a gift if one should think thoroughly, and though the nation has been degraded by ravenous political leaders before and up to the present. Let this day be a day of miracle.

Extreme Caution Bux.to

Making money on-line is always a catchy phrase for all internet savvy hopeful. From time to time even those who are experience with on-line marketing like myself admittedly fall to such trickery. It took me a while giving the particular program a justifiable review based on my experience giving it a chance to redeem itself by giving it time, asking courteous inquiry though it seems fruitless. So I decided to be more active in Bux.to that was during the middle of last year 2009. And true enough I was able to get a good results from my clicking efforts without even referring anyone. Inspired by this results a few months latter I decided to fully harness bux.to's potential by becoming premium member. Being a premium member of said program I was able to experience major growth in earned numbers. I was very happy and who wouldn't, seeing everything unfolded right in front of me.

Things began to go downhill when I first made my cash out request with the amount of $130 on the first week of December 2009. To my shock I wasn't paid, I made and inquiry as to why I was not paid as promise. The support staff were courteous enough to apologized though not professional enough to assure me of a precise date of payment. Talk about being a trustworthy site. On my 3rd and final inquiry to my humble request for immediate payment, again the support staff did what he was paid to do and express his understanding and told me all the B.S. that is going on and latter told me that bux.to is not a scam an blah. blah blah and yet still here I am waiting to get paid, Thinking, every explanation seems like a well rehearse scrip from a movie.

So the question is.

Is Bux.to a scam?

It has been 6 months since I made my cash out request and to think of it optimistically against present facts is like thinking that Barak Obama is actually a white guy and that his skin color is just a result over exposure to the sun. Not that there is something wrong with being colored person, Sorry for the metaphor, the point is to assume optimistically based on the evidence experience by yours truly would be overly optimistic to the point of foolishness. the fact is I wasn't paid. Is it a scam? YES until maybe perhaps people from bux.to PTC program pays me I may be able to lessen my negative opinion on them. But seeing that is very much unlikely or perhaps even to a point of being reckless on their part. And I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing the lack honor and responsibility on the part of bux.to.

As to their prof of said payment, honestly I don't, know perhaps that they paid those people, but forgot to pay me among many others and probably hundred before and after my request was made. what do I think of it, I mean it is extremely easy to create a forum where you can create fictitious post claiming otherwise. Even I can do that and claim that I got 72 virgin as my personal harem and I live in my own personal pleasure paradise complete with everything a man could ever want in life with pics and vids to show my sincere proof of existence.

With that though in mine permit my humble self to leave you with a message to show my humble point of view.

Conclusion

It has been 6 month since my cash out request what ever they're endeavoring is not doing a good job at it, or maybe just simple rip-offs scheme.
